“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser.
Every branch of mine that bears no fruit, he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.”
Jn 15: 1-2

Much as we hate to admit to imperfection, it’s nevertheless a fact that each of us has our faults. Those faults won’t go away by themselves. They will get worse, if anything, if we do nothing about them. It’s not just that vines are pruned, they’re trained upon a fence, trellis or other supportive structure. We need to train ourselves with whatever discipline bets suits the eradication of our particular faults. That discipline will enable us to cut the fault from our lives.
God, encourage our endeavours to form healthy, helpful habits and grant us friends to support our intention to do right.
